Psychological safety is a foundational element of inclusive, healthy early childhood workplaces. When staff feel emotionally safe, respected, and valued, they are more able to collaborate, communicate openly, learn from mistakes, and provide consistent, nurturing care to children and families. In psychologically safe environments, early childhood professionals are supported to bring their full selves to their work across roles, identities, and lived experiences. These environments strengthen trust, accountability, and shared responsibility, all of which are essential in high demand, relationally intensive settings.

This training supports early childhood staff in understanding psychological safety as both a leadership responsibility and a shared team practice. Participants will explore how psychological safety shows up in daily interactions, supervision, decision making, and communication, with a focus on inclusion, belonging, and collective care.

Join us for this thought-provoking training which will:

  • Define psychological safety, inclusivity, and belonging through an equity-centered and anti-oppressive lens.
  • Analyze how power, privilege, and positionality shape workplace dynamics and influence safety  and trust.
  • Candidly discuss liberatory and trauma-informed leadership practices, to navigate conflict and promote accountability.
  • Evaluate actionable strategies that strengthen psychological safety and equity within their teams and organizations.
