This reflective, interactive session explores how critical self-talk shows up in infant and early childhood mental health practice and how it can impact presence, confidence, and relationships. Participants will examine internal narratives that influence how they engage with families and colleagues and practice strategies to interrupt self-criticism with compassion. The session also focuses on cultivating courageous presence and navigating difficult conversations while remaining grounded, reflective, and aligned with IMH values.

Learning Objectives - Participants will:

● Identify how critical self-talk influences professional presence and reflective functioning

● Practice strategies to interrupt self-criticism and strengthen self-compassion

● Build skills for navigating challenging conversations with clarity and courage


Instructor:   Kesha James, MS ED, LMFT of K James Consulting brings 18+ years of experience in trauma-informed instruction, culturally responsive leadership, and educator well-being.

Cancellation Policy No refund can be made for cancellation seven or fewer working days before the event or for no-shows.  Cancellations more than seven working days before a workshop will result in a refund, less a $15.00 cancellation fee.  Requests for refunds must be received in writing.
