Join us for an interactive training day that includes opportunities to reflect and be curious together about our work supporting early relational health. You'll deepen your knowledge of Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health with our expert trainers through small and large group discussions, reflective experiences, and professional examples.

Part Two:
  • 4. Early Childhood Social-Emotional Development
  • 5. Trauma, Grief, Loss, & Separation
  • 6. Reflective Practice in IECMH

    NYSED CEUs are provided by the UB School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education. 6 live online contact hours are approved for LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, and PSY. Full attendance is required; no partial credit will be awarded for partial attendance.


    IMPORTANT : What we need from you:

    THE COURSE is live on Zoom and requires a secondary Zoom registration!

    1.) Please register HERE asap. We’ll confirm your registration via email. You will need to complete a second registration on Zoom to receive the personal Zoom link for use on the day of training. 

    2.) Once your registration is confirmed, we will send information on what you can expect for the training, as well as links to register on Zoom to track your attendance.

    3.) You’ll need to have a reliable internet connection, and a device on which to link to a Zoom meeting. Desktops, laptops, notebooks, and smart phones all work!

    4.)This is an interactive training. You will need to have both your video (camera) and audio on/shared during this training.

    The trainers for this date are:

    Connie Desmarais, MA is a professional with a Master of Arts focused in Clinical Psychology, Marriage, Family, & Child Counseling from Pepperdine University.  She is the Community Coalition Coordinator for Niagara County Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services. Owner of Blue Skies Consultation, LLC, Connie has over twenty years of experience in infant and children's relational health, case management, strategic planning, outreach and family services coordination.  

    Liz Rendon, LMSW is a bilingual licensed social worker and public health professional with 15 years of experience advancing early relational health, equity, and culturally responsive care. She earned her MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has held leadership roles at Partnership With Children, Healthy Families New York, and the CUNY Early Childhood Professional Development Institute. Her work focuses on trauma-informed program design, reflective supervision, and strengthening mental health supports for young children and their caregivers. Liz is passionate about building collaborative networks that nurture families and the professionals who support them.
